Nicolas Batum was written off by many after some difficult seasons to end his Charlotte Hornet tenure, but he bounced back this season with the LA Clippers. Batum excelled as a rotational player, knocking down 40.4 percent of his 3-point attempts. He also provided secondary playmaking and solid defense.
In Minnesota, Batum would once again be an ancillary player offensively, playing off D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns. His experience and leadership would also be very helpful.
The defensive versatility that Nicolas Batum brings to the table would surely go a long for for this Timberwolves team, too. There would be far more capable lineup combinations that provide value around Karl-Anthony Towns to raise the floor of the unit as a whole.
