The Bucks just had one of those nights shooting the basketball
Offensively, the Bucks looked awful and they could not make a shot to save their lives! Milwaukee shot 44.6% from the floor in this game, but they shot just 6-30 (20%) from three-point range. On the season, Milwaukee shot 38.9% from three-point range as a team, which was the 5th best three-point shooting percentage in the league.
Back in December, the Bucks set a new NBA record for Made Three-Pointers in a Single Game with 29 made threes, so they are more than capable of knocking down perimeter shots in volume, but tonight just wasn’t their night.

All night long, the Nets capitalized on the Bucks missing shots, as it seemed like they had everything working in their favor offensively. Then, everytime MIlwaukee actually made a big shot, either Durant or Irving had an answer on the other end of the court for Brooklyn, thwarting any potential run the Bucks could have had.
The Nets proved in Game 1 of this series why they are the title favorites and even without James Harden, one of the best players in the entire league, they were still able to stay focused and locked-in, which is definitely a scary sight for the Bucks.
Overall though, the Bucks had one of their worst shooting nights of the entire season and this likely will not happen again. Milwaukee is built to be a great three-point shooting team, which is why they will likely have a strong comeback performance in Game 2 of this series.
