6. Golden State Warriors (from Minnesota Timberwolves)

Scottie Barnes, SF, Florida State

This is where the draft gets a bit interesting. After the top five, anything can happen. In this spot, the Warriors could look to package it in a trade for a veteran player and move down in the draft. If they keep it, Barnes fits the bill for the franchise. At 6’9, Barnes is a versatile player that would give the Warriors an option at a position they need. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson will have the Warriors ready to compete for a title next season and Barnes would add some depth to the rotation.

7. Toronto Raptors

Davion Mitchell, PG, Baylor

There was no player who built up their draft stock during the NCAA Tournament more than Mitchell. He was a main cog for Baylor during their run to a national title. Mitchell is without a doubt the best perimeter defender in the draft. With Kyle Lowry entering free agency, the Raptors could be looking for his replacement. Mitchell would be a nice piece next to Fred VanVleet moving forward.

8. Orlando Magic (from Chicago Bulls)

Kai Jones, PF, Texas

The Magic have a chance to have two picks in the top 10 of this draft. They are in complete rebuild mode and landing a wing like Green and the best power forward in this draft in Jones would go a long way. Jones is a raw player but has great athleticism and defensive prowess. The Magic can add length to the lineup wifi they are able to nail these two picks.

9. Sacramento Kings

Keon Johnson, SG, Tennessee

Johnson is a two-way player with great potential at the next level. He will be productive for many years and it is because of his ability on both ends of the floor. Sacramento struggled defensively a season ago and this could be an area that they look to improve. Adding an elite on-ball defender like Johnson would go a long way. After one year at Tennessee, Johnson can join De’Aaron Fox in the backcourt for the Kings.

10. New Orleans Pelicans

Josh Giddey, SF, Australia

The Pelicans have great star power already on the roster with Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. The front office will now look to add pieces around their duo and Giddey could be a nice fit. He shoots well from deep and brings great size. Giddey has already proven himself in Australia and will have a chance to do the same in the NBA.
