While the NBA trade deadline has since expired and rosters are currently duking it out for a chance at hoisting a championship trophy, you better believe this upcoming offseason will be just as entertaining as the deadline was.

Two teams who could make sense as potential trade partners include the New York Knicks and the New Orleans Pelicans. In order for this trade for even happen, the Pelicans would have to convince their point guard Lonzo Ball agree to a sign and trade before a trade could even happen, but it could make sense from a monetary standpoint.

A trade between these two teams could catch a lot of people off guard, but we’ve seen many great trades go down in the league’s history between a great team and a sub-par squad. A deal between these two teams could help each side build for the future, while also investing in their current roster as well.
