Miami has to get Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn going or they are “dead weight”

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo can only do so much on the floor, which is why the Heat must get something from Kendrick Nunn and Tyler Herro in Game 3. So far Nunn has scored 10 points in Game 1 and 9 points in Game 2 in about 24 minutes per game and Herro has scored 10 points in Game 1 and just 4 points in Game 2 in about 19 minutes per game.

This is simply not going to cut it, even if other guys like Duncan Robinson and Goran Dragic are exceeding expectations. This is the playoffs and every basket matters just a little more than it did during the regular season and if both Kendirkc Nunn and Tyler Herro are not being productive on the court, then what purpose do they really serve to this team?

Neither of them are really known for their defense and after some of the performance Tyler Herro had in the NBA Bubble during the Heat’s playoff run last year, he should be giving them a lot more than 4 points in a critical playoff game.

Both guys are young players and are still getting used to the NBA and I get that, but a combined 16.5 points per game through two games is not enough for the Heat to be able to win this series, yet alone even it up!

Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn are going to have to prove that they are threats with the ball in their hands during Games 3 and 4, otherwise, Miami better pack their bags because they are going to be going on vacation earlier than they would like.

Jimmy Butler is going to get his points and be productive, as is Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic, but the young players on this Heat roster will have to step up with this series going back to Miami. Every role player always plays better at home, so maybe this will get both of these guys going in the right direction.
