An aggressive Tobias Harris = Philadelphia advancing

The biggest storyline from Game 1 between Washington and Philadelphia was how good Tobias Harris played. All eyes were on Joel Embiid, one of the three finalists for this year’s MVP award, yet Tobias Harris stole the show, shooting 15-29 from the floor and scoring 37 points!

Not only was this a new playoff-high for Harris in terms of points, but it tied his career-high for field goal attempts in a game (regular season or postseason) as well. He was spectacular in this game and moving forward, if he continues to shoot at a high-level like this, then Philadelphia is going to advance far in the playoffs.

Last year, Tobias Harris really struggled to get going when it mattered most, but this year, Harris has put together arguably the best season of his career and is finally starting to prove his worth to the 76ers.

Joel Embiid can only do so much for this team and with Ben Simmons not being much of a scoring factor, Tobias Harris has to be the second-best scoring option on this team and have games like he did Sunday against the Wizards.

13 of his 15 made shots came in the paint and 18 of his 29 shots came inside the paint on Sunday against the Wizards. If he can continue this kind of dominance offensively in terms of getting inside the paint and to his spots, then Tobias Harris is going to be able to elevate Philly deep into the postseason.
