The Grizzlies take care of the Spurs and knock San Antonio out of the playoff picture

The Grizzlies have numerous players that can score at any given moment in a game and the Spurs offense really only flows through DeMar DeRozan and Dejounte Murray, which is why I think the Grizzlies win this game pretty comfortably. It could be a close game heading into the final quarter, but I just do not see the Spurs having enough overall production to be able to beat Ja Morant and the Grizzlies.

In the three games that the Spurs and Grizzlies played during the regular season, the Grizzlies won their two games by an average of 24 points and the Spurs won one of the three meetings by 12 points, but this was the first game of the year when the Spurs still had LaMarcus Aldridge.

Memphis has grown as a team throughout the year and they have not only improved defensively since this opening night loss to the Spurs, but they have improved as an overall offensive team as well. Ja Morant and Jonas Valanciunas are two consistent factors in the Grizzlies’ offensive attack, but with others like Dillon Brooks, Kyle Anderson, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Grayson Allen also contributing, the Spurs just do not have enough talent to keep up with the Grizzlies.

With that said, the Memphis Grizzlies will take down the Spurs in this play-in game, keeping San Antonio out of the postseason for back-to-back years, the first time this has happened in their 54 year history as a NBA franchise.
