Teams are already game planning on how to stop LaMelo Ball when they play the Hornets
Not many teams game plan around another team’s rookie and look to find ways to slow them down, but LaMelo Ball is no ordinary rookie! All season long, teams have been trying to figure out how to beat the Hornets by slowing Ball down and taking him out of the equation, which has not worked by the way!
We hardly ever see this with teams looking to stop another team’s rookie, yet LaMelo Ball is getting this “elite” level treatment from other teams. He has the respect of all 29 other teams in this league and given how good he is as an all-around player, he is going to be a problem and a headache for teams for at least the next decade!
Being as crafty as he is with the ball in his hands and having the ability to knock down three-point shots at a high rate, there is really no way to stop LaMelo Ball right now and the scary thing is he is only going to get better!

LaMelo Ball is only 19-years-old and he is already being considered a top overall point guard in this league by some of the NBA’s current and former stars. From LeBron James to Trae Young to Jamal Crawford, plenty of well-known NBA players have come out and said how great they believe LaMelo is and will be, which is a pretty high honor for the rookie guard.
With the respect of all other 29 teams in the league and being one of the best players already on his own team, it seems like LaMelo Ball should be this year’s Rookie of the Year, but the fact that he did miss 21 games in a shortened 72-game schedule could definitely take some votes away from him.
