Jalen Suggs vs. Jalen Green – Who is better?

When comparing Jalen Suggs to Jalen Green, it is really hard to say that one guy should be picked over another. Both easily have qualities about their games that put them in consideration for the #1 overall pick this year, but it really depends on which team is picking where and what their biggest needs are.

For a team looking for more of a facilitator and guy who is more than capable of controlling the pace of a game, then Jalen Suggs is the guy for them, but for the most upside and potential, Jalen Green is the best player for them to take.

Suggs is a better overall ball-handler than the likes of Jalen Green and is probably a little more versatile given the many things that he can do. Jalen Suggs can not only dish out assists and aid in rebounding, but he also has a high-motor and can score in the halfcourt or out in transition.

On the other hand, Jalen Green is probably a better perimeter-oriented player than Jalen Suggs and is definitely a better athlete. Given that Green played in the G-League and Suggs at Gonzaga, it is hard to directly compare their stats and style of play, but Jalen Green is probably a better one-on-one talent than Suggs, but by a slim margin.

Green definitely has the advantage over Suggs in terms of athleticism and potential, but Suggs is definitely more NBA-ready and can do a little bit of everything to help his team win games. You really cannot go wrong with either of these two guys, especially at the top of the draft, which is why Jalen Suggs and Jalen Green are two of the top players in this year’s draft class.
