New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have plenty of connections to Karl-Anthony Towns. They are a team with little depth in the frontcourt that could persuade Towns to come over. He is from New Jersey and played his high school ball at St. Joe’s Metuchen, which is about 30 miles from Madison Square Garden. If Towns wants to come home to continue his career, New York is a city that would welcome him with open arms.
Julius Randle is interested in an extension with the Knicks. The Knicks cannot afford to overpay him because they still need some other players to round out the roster. A frontcourt of Karl-Anthony Towns and Julius Randle is something to get excited about. In a deal such as this one, Randle and Barrett are the two untouchable players. There are plenty of other intriguing assets they could offer the Timberwolves.
The Knicks could unload some other young players that have not panned out. This includes Kevin Knox and Frank Ntilikina, and maybe even Obi Toppin. If the Timberwolves want either Immanuel Quickley or Mitchell Robinson, the Knicks should pull the trigger.
This is a Knicks team looking to take the next step and Karl-Anthony Towns is the player that can get them there. Quickley and Robinson are not polished players like Towns.

It has been a long time since the Knicks were relevant, in a good way, in the NBA. They are finally coming out of the phase of being a laughingstock. It is now time to land that star to help them become a staple in the postseason moving forward.
