Jonathan Kuminga – SF/PF – G-League/18 – 6’8”, 220 lbs

Not many people know about Jonathan Kuminga because he decided to skip playing collegiate basketball to play professionally in the G-League. People are quickly going to learn about Kuminga though as soon as he gets to the NBA though because this kid is an absolute freak athlete and has a chance to blossom into a two-way star in the league!

In 13 games with Team Ignite, Kuminga averaged 15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and shot 38.7% from the floor. Standing about 6’8”, Kuminga has the length and versatility to either play on the wing or in the low-post against smaller defenders and much like his G-League teammate in Jalen Green, his athleticism for his position is what makes him a franchise-altering player in this draft class.

With almost a 7-foot wingspan, Jonathan Kuminga has all the tools to be an elite-level two-way player on the wing and with his insane leaping abilities, he is a guy that will put many people on posters at the next level. Offensively, Kuminga looks to use his athleticism and ball-handler skills to drive to the rim and oftentimes does not look to shoot from deep.

Normally, as soon as Kuminga catches the ball, he is looking to attack his opponents and get the ball in the paint, where he shoots the ball at an extremely high percentage. With all the confidence in the world in himself and his athletic abilities, Jonathan Kuminga is the perfect fit for any team looking to add a high-level wing in the draft.

Jonathan Kuminga is expected to be a Top-5 pick in this year’s draft, so teams would have to give up a ton of assets to trade up and draft him, but he is definitely worth it because this kid has NBA All-Star written all over him.
