Ranking the 3 best fits for Warriors in 2021 NBA Draft

Franz Wagner

Franz Wagner was arguably the top player for Michigan this season. He averaged 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game this season. Wagner also improved as a three-point shooter from his freshman year. Over the latter part of the season, Wagner began creeping into the lottery and it seems likely that he is selected in the top 14.

If there is any team that could find a way to use Franz Wagner and teach him the ropes, it is Golden State. Curry would have another young player to mentor on both ends of the floor. Wagner has a chance to turn into a dynamic scorer at the next level because he can score from anywhere on the floor.

Coming into the 2021 NBA Draft, Franz Wagner does not have the upside of the players at the top of the lottery but this does not mean that he is not worth taking a chance on. Golden State is a winning franchise and one that could help Wagner develop quickly.

The Warriors will likely add another player that can help on them on the perimeter. Franz Wagner comes from a winning culture at Michigan and could join another one in Golden State.
