San Antonio Spurs
The future of DeMar DeRozan is the biggest storyline in San Antonio right now and it seems like he is very 50-50 on whether or not he will be returning to the Spurs next season. DeRozan has already said that he wants to hear out all the offers he is going to get in free agency this summer and with the Spurs not being in a position to contend for a championship over the next few years, it is a very real possibility that DeRozan goes somewhere else where he has a better chance to win.
The Knicks have been a team that has been linked to DeMar DeRozan in NBA rumors for months now and if their interest in him is real, the Spurs could look to execute some kind of sign-and-trade involving the former All-Star going to the Knicks in exchange for a package including Obi Toppin.
The Spurs frontcourt is slim as it is and with DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay becoming free agents, they have some massive holes to fill up front. Adding a versatile and dynamic forward in Obi Toppin not only gives them another young, athletic player to utilize, but it gives them another young player that they can potentially build with.
San Antonio has a bunch of young talents in Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, Keldon Johnson and Lonnie Walker IV, but this team is still years away from getting back to the championship-contending level they are usually at.

Continuing to bolster their young core and adding more young talent would be the best move for the Spurs to make in the offseason, especially if DeRozan does decide that he no longer wants to play in San Antonio.
