#3 Chris Paul – Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns are going to the NBA Playoffs for the first time since 2010 and one of the main reasons why they have been so successful all season long is because of the “point god” himself, Chris Paul.

Over the course of his career, it always seems like Chris Paul is overlooked and underrated, even though he is going to go down as one of the greatest point guards this league has ever seen. Everywhere he has gone in his career, he has made a positive distance and was a big factor in taking his team to the playoffs.

He did it with the Clippers, he did it with the Thunder, and now, he is doing it with the Phoenix Suns, who have not been to the playoffs in over a decade! Sure, you can point to Devin Booker and DeAndre Ayton also playing huge roles in the Suns making the playoffs this year, but without Paul, this team is a borderline playoff team.

The impact he has made in Phoenix is so great, that it is hard not to put him in the MVP conversation. He may not have the stats like the other two guys on this list and may not be a “league leader” stat wise, but Paul does all the little things to help his team win and he is the “Most Valuable Player” on this year’s Suns team.

Not only is he taking the Suns to the playoffs this year for the first-time since 2010, but they are still in contention for the 1-seed in not just the Western Conference, but the entire NBA! It is time to give Chris Paul a ton of respect for what he has done and while he may not have a ring on his resume, the Suns are definitely a team people are sleeping on when it comes to NBA Finals talk. Could this be the year Chris Paul finally wins a championship?
