New Orleans Pelicans

This might seem like a surprise team, especially if Victor Oladipo plans on competing, but never underestimate the star power of the Pelicans. They have a plan to build around Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson and this could bring another star to town. New Orleans is desperate to compete and know that they will have to make some huge additions to keep up with others teams in the Western Conference.

The Pelicans have already made some big moves. They sent Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks in the offseason in hopes of getting younger. This continued when they traded JJ Redick to the Dallas Mavericks at the deadline. Victor Oladipo is a free-agent target that could solidify the shooting guard position.

This is especially true if they decide to move Lonzo Ball at some point. He was able to survive the trade deadline but might not be so lucky in the offseason. Oladipo would bring a new dynamic compared to Williamson and Ingram. He can score at all three levels and thrives from beyond the arc.

This is a signing that would create a bit of a big three for the Pelicans. This will all come down to if Oladipo believes the Pelicans can compete right away. Also, the contract might come into play depending on what other teams are offering.
