3 teams who should keep tabs on a potential Domantas Sabonis trade

The Indiana Pacers should be a much better team than their record says that they are at this point in the season, but injuries have plagued this team’s chances for success. T.J. Warren went down with a foot injury 4 games into the season and has since been ruled out for the remainder of the NBA season, Caris LeVert just made his debut with the Pacers last month, Jeremy Lamb has been in and out of the lineup due to numerous injuries and now Malcolm Brogodn, Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner are all dealing with separate injuries.

This organization just cannot seem to catch a break from the “injury bug” and as a result, they are 22-27 and fighting for their playoff lives at the moment. The Pacers are currently a game ahead of the Bulls for the 9-seed in the Eastern Conference and it seems safe to say that the Pacers will be playing in one of the play-in games, but to say this team will make it any further than the first-round of the playoffs is a bold statement at this point.

Every time the Pacers start winning games and going on a run, they immediately fall back to their losing ways. This team is the definition of being a “hot and cold” team and as a result, they could very well end up losing in the first-round of the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season.

If this happens, their front-office could look to be very active in the offseason, especially with them not having much cap space. Brogdon, Sabonis, Turner and LeVert are all under contract for at least two more seasons after this year and T.J. Warren is going to be entering the final year of his contract, which is why the Pacers could be in the market to trade one of these guys. This will be a key situation to watch in NBA trade rumors as the offseason approaches.

It is definitely a stretch for them to make their All-Star big man Domantas Sabonis available in trade talks, but if they do in the offseason, here are three teams who should be very interested and keep tabs on a potential Sabonis trade.

For a long time, big men dominated the NBA. Having one dominant big man wasn’t always enough. Some teams sought a pair of dominant bigs.

Thunder Trade Proposal Lands Jerami Grant From Blazers

It’s been a good 2023-24 NBA season for the Oklahoma City Thunder. As of this writing, they’re on top of the Western Conference. That alone

Rockets Trade Proposal Lands LaMelo Ball From Hornets

Every team in the NBA needs a franchise player. They’ll know when they have one. Sometimes, their franchise guy ends up being somebody other than
