2. Will Get To Punish Mismatches

LaMarcus Aldridge has been an elite frontcourt player since he entered the league. He has shown that he can still play the game at a high level. This is something else he will have a chance to do for the Brooklyn Nets moving forward. When looking at Brooklyn compared to the Miami Heat, it is interesting to think if LaMarcus Aldridge took other members of the frontcourt into account.

When looking at the options for the Nets down low, there are not many. Kevin Durant is listed as a power forward because of his height but he is not a true big man. DeAndre Jordan is not much of a threat on the offensive end and Claxton is averaging just 8.5 points in 18.9 minutes per game.

This means LaMarcus Aldridge can come in right away and bring a new dynamic to the team. With the Miami Heat, Bam Adebayo has shown that he is the dominant force in the frontcourt. The duo of Adebayo and Aldridge would have been interesting but there might be more of a chance to put up some numbers in Brooklyn.

Teams are going to have no choice but to switch when superstars like Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant are on the floor. When that happens, they are going to have to guard LaMarcus Aldridge with a smaller defender that he can take to task in the post for an easy bucket or pass out to a teammate for a favorable outcome after drawing additional defensive attention.

The Nets will get LaMarcus Aldridge going over the next few days and get him comfortable with the team. It will not take much to incorporate him and there are plenty of chances for Aldridge succeed.
