Philadelphia 76ers Receive: G/F Terrence Ross, ORL 2024 2nd Round Pick

Orlando Magic Receive: G Seth Curry, F Ignas Brazdeikis, PHI 2022 1st Round Pick (Top-10 Protected)

With the Magic looking to completely reset and rebuild, all they are wanting is either young players or draft picks and they can get a first-round pick for the Sixers, as well as an impactful role player in Seth Curry for Ross. The Sixers could even wind up offering a different trade package and keep Curry since George Hill’s contract is partially-guaranteed for next season and they could easily waive/trade him to free up the cap space to bring in Ross.

Either way, going back to this trade package highlighted above, the Sixers seem like they are still one or two pieces away from winning a championship, which is why they could use a talented wing player like Terrence Ross.

Danny Green is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and with no talents on the wing, the Sixers will really need a player like Terrence Ross who can come in and really hold thing downs for them when Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons and/or Joel Embiid are out of the game.

Ross has proven over the course of his career that he can be an impactful player on the offensive-end of the court, which is exactly what they need since they have Matisse Thybulle as one of the best young defenders in the league.

In this trade scenario, the only question is whether or not the Magic want a player like Seth Curry. They are looking to get younger and while Curry is 30-years-old, they may prefer more draft picks rather than a guy that will tie up some of their cap space over the next couple of seasons.

With that said, let’s take a look at how this trade could make sense for both the Philadelphia 76ers and the Orlando Magic.
