Victor Oladipo
Ever since he got traded to the Rockets in January as an extension of the James Harden trade, there have been rumors about the Rockets looking to flip Victor Oladipo for more future assets. It is clear that he does not really want to waste the second-half of the season losing with the Rockets and Houston wants to try and get as much value as they can from trading Oladipo.
As a result, it is not a matter of if the Rockets will trade the former All-Star, it is a matter of what time the deal will get done and where he will be going. Plenty of teams have expressed interest in the former All-Star, some of those big names being the Heat, Hawks, Knicks and Blazers.
Since coming back from a major leg injury, Oladipo has not shown any big limitations and has looked like his former All-Star self at times. Since joining the Rockets, Victor Oladipo has averaged 21.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.2 steals and has shot 40.7% from the floor.
What many people tend to forget about Victor Oladipo is that he is just 28-years-old and still has plenty of basketball left in him. The biggest thing about teams potentially looking to trade for Oladipo though is the fact that he is in a contract year.

Wherever he finishes the season, Victor Oladipo is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year. If a team is to trade for the former All-Star guard, they are going to want him to commit to them long-term, that way they are not investing so many future assets into getting him only for him to be there for half a season.
Houston believes that they can get a ton of value by trading Oladipo now, whether it be more draft picks or a young player that they can continue to build with, which is why he will be on the move before Thursday’s deadline.
