Bogdan Bogdanovic is going to be a very interesting name to keep an eye on ahead of the NBA trade deadline. While the Atlanta Hawks are competing in the Eastern Conference, they are open to moving him. One team with trade interest in him is the Golden State Warriors.

Due to the injury suffered by Klay Thompson before the start of the season, the Warriors need more help for Stephen Curry in the back-court. Kelly Oubre has been decent, but not consistent.

According to a report from Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Warriors are interested in pulling off a trade with the Hawks.

The Warriors have shown interest in Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, sources said.

Bogdanovic would be a very interesting fit for the Warriors. He would be able to slide in as the starting shooting guard immediately. That would likely be something he would like.

Coming off of the bench has been his role with the Hawks. He may not “mind” coming off of the bench, but he absolutely wants to start. With the Warriors, it seems very likely that he would end up being the starter.

So far this season in 17 games and just two starts with the Hawks, Bogdanovic has averaged 9.5 points per game to go along with 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists. He has shot just 38.7 percent from the floor and 33 percent from the three-point line.

At 28 years of age, Bogdan Bogdanovic is in the first year of a four-year deal. This move would be a present and long-term move for the Warriors. He will make $18 million each season.

Expect to see the Warriors remain active ahead of the NBA trade deadline. The Hawks may not end up moving Bogdanovic, but it certainly would make sense. If Atlanta does move him, Golden State is a team to watch.
