This Hornets-Pacers trade is centered on Myles Turner

The Charlotte Hornets are a team that is unbalanced at this point. They are strong in the backcourt but could look to improve downlow at the NBA trade deadline. The Indiana Pacers have a chance to help if they can find a deal to put together as we approach the trade deadline.

The Hornets are competing for a playoff spot in a weak Eastern Conference at 20-20 this season. In the draft, they added LaMelo Ball to an already strong backcourt. He is averaging 16.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.

Since entering the starting lineup, Ball has taken his game to another level. The Hornets already had Devonte’ Graham and Terry Rozier but decided to add the best player available in the draft, and it is paying off. The frontcourt continues to be weak and this could be a chance to improve.

The Indiana Pacers have become a staple in the postseason but they have fallen behind a bit this season. The Pacers are currently 17-22 and could be looking to sell a bit at the NBA trade deadline. They were able to send Victor Oladipo to the Houston Rockets this season which was a weight lifted off their shoulders.

It seems as though Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis are the cornerstone players for the Pacers moving forward. With the all-star emergence from Sabonis, this means Myles Turner becomes an intriguing trade piece.

Turner would be a fit in Charlotte. Here is a potential deal that could get Turner in Charlotte this season.
