This Blazers-Magic trade is centered on Aaron Gordon

Entering the 2020-21 NBA season, the Portland Trail Blazers had a ton of expectations and were expected to be a team that competes for the top-seed in the Western Conference. While they still have the potential to be a great team and potentially make a run in the postseason, injuries have crippled their chances to maximize on their potential success.

C.J. McCollum has been out since mid-January after suffering a broken foot and starting center Jusuf Nurkic has been out since mid-January with a broken wrist. Not to mention, Zach Collins has not played a single game yet this year due to an ankle injury and numerous players have been in and out of the lineup for Portland with various injuries.

Enes Kanter is the only player that has played in all 38 games for the Portland Trail Blazers to this point in the season and while they are currently one of the better teams in the Western Conference, they really need everyone back and healthy if they are to make a real run in the postseason.

This team, led by Damian Lillard, has the potential to make it back to the Western Conference Finals for the second time in three seasons, but they may need to add one more piece to their puzzle at the trade deadline. With plenty of injuries in their frontcourt and them struggling as a rebounding team, the Blazers could very much look to add another frontcourt option like Aaron Gordon to their roster.

The Trail Blazers have reportedly expressed interest in the former 4th overall pick, but would they be willing to move some contracts around to acquire the 25-year old combo-forward? Let’s take a look at what this trade between the Magic and the Blazers could end up looking like.
