Entering the 2020-21 NBA season, there was not much discussion surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers since they had finished near the bottom of the standings a season ago and looked like a team on paper that would once again finish near the bottom of the league. Although they have struggled at times this season, the Cavaliers are actually a decent basketball team even though they are 14-22 at the halfway point in the season.
They currently sit three games back from the 8-seed in the Eastern Conference and with the emergence of some of their young talent, there is a lot to be excited about moving forward if you are a Cavs fan. The backcourt duo of Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are finally healthy and have solidified themselves as one of the better backcourt duos in the league and after trading for Jarrett Allen in January, Cleveland has their center of the future.
After acquiring Allen though, the Cavaliers have been left with an abundance of talent in their frontcourt and as a result, have found themselves a part of numerous NBA trade rumors over the last few weeks. With former All-Star talents in Andre Drummond and Kevin Love, as well as some younger talents in Larry Nance Jr. and Cedi Osman, the Cavs have plenty of options as the trade deadline approaches.
Andre Drummond seems like the most likely player to be on the move since he is in the final year of his contract, but Larry Nance Jr. is a player a bunch of playoff caliber teams have been eyeing recently. The 28-year old forward is now in his 6th season in the league and has been out since February 6th with a fractured finger.

With him expected to be 100% to start the second half of the season, plenty of teams have started reaching out to Cleveland about a potential trade for Nance Jr, one of those teams being the Miami Heat. With them not having much frontcourt depth outside of Bam Adebayo, the Heat have expressed plenty of interest in Larry Nance Jr. making them one of the favorites to potentially trade for him at the trade deadline.
