The Charlotte Hornets saw James Wiseman go off the board with the second-overall pick in the draft and decided to go with the best player available. Despite being already loaded in the backcourt, they added Ball and the move is showing that it was worth it. This puts them in a great position to give up one of their guards in hopes of adding assets for the future.
The Hornets are currently 17-18 in the Eastern Conference but this is good enough for a playoff spot. They are taking advantage of a weak conference and they could continue to move up the standings. Horton-Tucker is a young prospect that is looking like he is going to be a star one day.
