Why This Trade Would Make Sense For The Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics are in the playoff race in the wildly competitive Eastern Conference and they are in desperate need of some big man help. The Celtics are certainly in position to be putting all their eggs in the basket and pursuing a championship this season.
Barnes is averaging 16.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.6 assists for the Kings and the Celtics could thrive with that kind of potential in their starting five. He’s been a highly efficient scorer that can get a quick bucket but also can space the floor and hit catch-and-shoot looks.
Barnes could come in and start right away or they could utilize his services off the bench instead to create more mismatches on the court. If he were to start, the Celtics would have a stacked perimeter of intriguing wings and could stagger minutes to maximize depth.
