NBA scout explains potential fit for LaMarcus Aldridge with Miami Heat

The San Antonio Spurs will look to move on from LaMarcus Aldridge ahead of the NBA trade deadline. One of the teams who could look to make a move for Aldridge is the Miami Heat.

An NBA scout shared his thoughts with NBA Analysis Network on how LaMarcus Aldridge could potentially fit with the Miami Heat.

“Getting another guy like Aldridge who can go and get a quick bucket when needed could go a long way for the Heat. He can add another dynamic to the offense with his ability to step out and hit spot up and pick and pop jumpers while picking on switches. This would be an intriguing move, to say the least.”

Something the Miami Heat showed a need for in the NBA Finals was for more reliable scoring options in their half-court offense. Jimmy Butler could make plays and elevate his game, but Goran Dragic being limited and mostly sidelined showed the team’s limitations.

The Heat would need to be willing to part with players like Kelly Olynyk and Andre Iguodala to help match salary to land Aldridge. That shouldn’t be a problem when considering what they’d be receiving in return.

It will be intriguing to see where LaMarcus Aldridge ends up ahead of the NBA trade deadline. He joins Andre Drummond as one of the top names to watch that’s available on the trade block.
