Kristaps Porzingis Gets Traded To The Golden State Warriors
When Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban received Kristaps Porzingis at the midpoint of the 2019 NBA season, it was clear that he envisioned a long-term future with the 7-foot-3 unicorn, and Luka Doncic. A duo that, at one point, gave off serious “Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash” vibes in the sense of their potential for the franchise, now has become present trade talks in just the second year of playing together. Porzingis, certainly not Luka, could very well be on the move.
Despite hearing his name being tossed in the hat of trade targets, Porzingis is “not too worried” about what could transpire between now and March 25.
One team that has been deemed a suitor, is the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors selected James Wiseman with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft, and while he has looked as good as advertised in the times he’s been healthy this season, perhaps they see a better scoring option in Porzingis.

Golden State’s expectations were thwarted when Klay Thompson tore his Achilles in November, leaving Steph Curry and Co. to face the harsh reality that they can’t be legitimate contenders again without another star. With a healthy Porzingis, that might at least get them on track again.
