This Knicks-Pistons trade features Jerami Grant to New York

The New York Knicks have been one of the surprises in the NBA to this point of the season. They are currently 19-18 and fifth in the Eastern Conference. It was certainly not the position we expected this team to be coming into the year. If the front office feels like they have a chance to compete all year, we can see them go all in on a trade.

An intriguing name to keep an eye is Jeremi Grant of the Detroit Pistons. Grant signed a free-agent deal in the offseason and is having his best statistical year of his career. The Pistons are a rebuilding team that currently sits in last place in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons just completed a buyout with Blake Griffin that made him an unrestricted free agent. Now, they could look to take advantage of Grant’s value in a trade with the Knicks.

This would not be the first time that these two sides got together for a trade this year. Detroit sent Derrick Rose to New York recently In exchange for Dennis Smith Jr. Rose has been a welcomed addition for the Knicks as he is scoring and assisting at a high rate.
