The Houston Rockets have been a team in the news for months now due to them trading Russell Westbrook during the offseason, James Harden in January and now releasing DeMarcus Cousins, but they will continue to be a storyline in the NBA because of the downward trend this organization is taking.
The Rockets were in the Western Conference Finals not too long ago, fighting for a chance to make the NBA Finals, but now, they look like a team that will be going through some kind of a rebuild with guys like John Wall, Christian Wood, and maybe Victor Oladipo (if they do not trade him) being their future.
As a result, veteran wing Eric Gordon is a guy that has been on the radar of many teams around the league as a potential trade target. Now 32-years old, Gordon is still playing at a high-level and can contribute to many playoff caliber teams around the league.
In 26 games this year, the veteran wing is averaging 17.8 points, 2.7 assists, but is shooting just 32.8% from three-point range even though his career average is 36.8%.
