Sometimes two rebuilding teams can get together for a trade and come up with some thing that makes a little noise around the league. That is what the Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards are attempting to do in a deal such as this one. Neither team is going anywhere this season and that has been made clear after the first half of play. It will be interesting to see if the teams decide to sell at the NBA trade deadline.
Washington has been busy to this point already. They granted John Wall’s wish and sent him to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Russell Westbrook. The duo of Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal was supposed to have Washington compete but that has not been the case.
While they are putting up excellent individual numbers, it has not translated to success on the court. Washington could choose to keep this backcourt together and look to trade another one of their big contracts.
Davis Bertans is one that immediately comes to mind. The big man signed a five-year, $80 million deal with the Wizards in free agency. He has come off the bench this season and is being used sparingly. Bertans is still one of the better three-point shooters in the game and could benefit from a change of scenery. This is where the Kings come into play.

Sacramento has also been in NBA trade rumors for players like Buddy Hield and Harrison Barnes. At the end of the day, the Kings could decide Marvin Bagley III makes the most sense to move.
This swap of big men would lead a deal tha both teams hope will help right away. Let’s take a look and see how it would benefit both sides if this deal can get done.
