Here are the many teams interested in trading for Larry Nance Jr.

The Cleveland Cavaliers look destined to be sellers at this year’s NBA Trade Deadline. They have a strong core to build around in Collin Sexton, Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen, but they look to be at least one year away from making any noise in the playoff picture. Names like Andre Drummond, Kevin Love, and possibly Larry Nance Jr. appear to be available.

Cleveland reportedly would love to move on from Love, but that is unlikely given his current injury situation and contract. However, there are several front-court players on the roster that are drawing interest around the league.

Forward Cedi Osman is reportedly drawing interest from the LA Clippers and Brooklyn Nets. Center JaVale McGee is drawing interest from the Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. But the player drawing the most interest is in power forward, Larry Nance Jr.

Nance is currently nursing a fractured finger that was expected to keep him sidelined for 4-6 weeks. The injury occurred about four weeks ago, so he could make a return to the lineup shortly after the All-Star break. Could that return come in a different uniform?

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been aggressive in pursuing Nance, as his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate, D’Angelo Russell, has been a big advocate for him. In addition to the Timberwolves, the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, Miami Heat, and Dallas Mavericks have also expressed interest.

The Cavaliers are not just going to give away Nance. He has two years remaining on his contract and at 27 years old, can still be a part of the core group of players going forward. His improvements as a three-point shooter enable him to play alongside someone such as Allen, who is not much of a floor spacer himself.

No one is considered untouchable, as any player could be had for the right price. What will it take to land Larry Nance Jr.? We will have to wait and see to find out.
