If there is one player on the New York Knicks that he’s a fresh start, it is a Kevin Knox. Since being taken ninth overall in the 2018 draft, Knox has been extremely underwhelming through the early part of his NBA career. He could use a change of scenery and would benefit from going to a real building team where there is no pressure.
The team could be the Minnesota Timberwolves. Minnesota is in the midst of a season where they are 7-26 and comfortably in last place in the Western Conference. The front office on down has turned into a complete mess and there is no end in sight.
The Wolves have been linked to many NBA trade rumors because they have some players they could be interested in unloading. This begins with Karl-Anthony Towns, who was at one time link to New York because of his home roots. If Minnesota decided to go another way, they could take a chance on a young player looking for a change.
Believe it or not, the Knicks have been able to stay alive in the Eastern Conference playoff race. This is actually not difficult to believe considering the conference is extremely top-heavy with many poor teams near the bottom. New York is one of those mediocre teams looking to make some noise the NBA trade deadline.

This is a team that is in need of a star presence. Julius Randle was named an NBA All-Star reserve but is not a top player in the game that can do any serious winning. The Knicks have plenty of assets they would be able to part ways with.
Even though this deal does not land them the superstar they might be intending, the Knicks should take what they can get for a player like Knox. His value is down and the Wolves could be interested.
