2. Kristaps Porzingis
It was only two years ago that the Dallas Mavericks landed Kristaps Porzingis from the New York Knicks and people lauded the move. They said Dallas fleeced New York and had the foundation for a title team with Porzingis and Luka Doncic. Fast forward to the present time, and it sounds like Dallas is looking for a redo on the deal.
The Mavericks, despite Mark Cuban’s best efforts to throw water on the recent NBA trade rumors, are reportedly shopping their big man. Reports cite Kristaps Porzingis’ contract, injuries and ‘high maintenance issues’’ as reasons for shopping him.

That doesn’t paint a great picture, as the Mavericks are seemingly actively diminishing their asset. However, at only 25-years old, there are likely plenty of teams that would take a shot on the Latvian star.
Offensively, Kristaps Porzingis presents some great matchup advantages given how comfortable he is on the perimeter. He stretches the floor as well as any big man in the NBA, knocking down 35.7 percent of his career 3-point attempts. Defensively he leaves a lot to be desired, but if a team could fit him in at power forward, where his flaws are more easily covered for.
The sooner the better for the Mavericks when it comes to moving Kristaps Porzingis. If he continues missing games, his value will further diminish on the trade market and his contract will look more and more like an albatross.
