This Heat-Knicks trade forms a Jimmy Butler, Julius Randle duo

It’s time to ruffle the feathers of some New Yorkers out there. The New York Knicks are off to a better start than expected and you would think that the team is ready to win an NBA championship by the way people are reacting. The fact remains that the Knicks are in need of another star on the roster and they could look to the trade market to acquire one.

When we say another star, we are using the term loosely as it depends on how you view Julius Randle. The big man is having an incredible season and was named as an All-Star reserve, and rightfully so.

Randle is in the second of a three-year contract he signed last offseason. It will be interesting to see what the front office decides to do with Randle, who has turned into a hometown hero after being one of the most disliked players on the team season ago.

If the Knicks go to the trade market, they could call the Miami Heat. Jimmy Butler knows a thing or two about being traded because he was rumored to have locker room issues in some previous homes. He is the type of player the Knicks need. If not Butler, there are other names to pursue but he proved he is a big-game player last year in the postseason.
