Ranking the top snubs from 2021 NBA All-Star Game

The full rosters for the 2021 NBA All-Star game are here. After the starting lineups were announced last week, the reserves were announced on Wednesday.

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets received the most votes of the starters, so they will be the captains representing and selecting the teams. The draft will take place on March 4th and be aired on TNT.

From the Western Conference, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic, point guard Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard and Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is joining James in the starters pool.

On the reserves for the Western Conference are Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard, Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul, Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell and center Rudy Gobert, New Orleans Pelicans power forward Zion Williamson and Los Angeles Lakers power forward, Anthony Davis.

Joining Durant for the starting group for the Eastern Conference is his Nets’ teammate Kyrie Irving, Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Philadelphia 76ers center, Joel Embiid.

Boston Celtics forwards Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine, Nets’ guard James Harden, New York Knicks power forward Julius Randle, Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons and Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic were named reserves for the Eastern Conference.

Every player that was announced for the team deserved their spot on the team. However, as there is every season, there were some players that were snubbed from the team. When there are only 12 spots on each team.
