This Knicks-Timberwolves trade features Malik Beasley to New York

The New York Knicks recently were a team that recently was featured in NBA trade rumors for their interest in Derrick Rose to which ultimately resulted in a deal with the Detroit Pistons. Could they continue their pursuit of adding talent more talent at the deadline?

The Knicks are off to a surprising start this season and could look to add another big-name player. On the opposite side of the spectrum sits the Minnesota Timberwolves. They are once again a bottom-feeder in the Western Conference and could look to be sellers.

The Knicks are 14-16 so far this season. They are getting incredible production from Julius Randle in his second season in New York. The forward is averaging 23.1 points and 11 rebounds per game while shooting 40.6% from the three-point line.

RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley are also contributing to the success of the Knicks but Tom Thibodeau deserves a ton of credit. He came in and has this team playing defense. The Knicks currently lead the league allowing just 103.6 points per game. They are in an interesting position to add another player at the NBA trade deadline.

The Timberwolves could have the player. Karl-Anthony Towns missed time this season and has been limited to just eight games. In his absence, Malik Beasley stepped up. He is scoring 20.6 points per game and is shooting 39.9% from the three-point line. Minnesota is just 7-21 this season and there is no turnaround in sight.

Minnesota needs to sell at the NBA trade deadline and Beasley is a name that has come up in conversation, along with D’Angelo Russell. Anthony Edwards is the future of the organization and gaining additional assets to build around him should be a priority.

The Knicks have assets that they would be able to send Minnesota in a deal. Here is what a potential trade might look like between the two sides.
