Golden State Warriors Receive: DeMar DeRozan

San Antonio Spurs Receive: Andrew Wiggins, Brad Wanamaker

DeMar DeRozan would give the Golden State Warriors another perimeter threat for the rest of the season and the postseason, if they qualify. Right now, there isn’t enough trustworthy contributors around Steph Curry out on the perimeter.

DeRozan is not a huge threat from three-point range but he brings a lot to the table offensively. He’s emerged as one of the best scorers in the league out of ball screens and is an elite isolation threat. Additionally, he can get you a quick bucket in the post and has grown in his spot-up offensive contributions.

Golden State has plenty of trade assets that they would be able to send back. With the way their lineup is constructed, the Warriors could deal Andrew Wiggins, who has been mentioned in plenty of NBA trade rumors to this point. Brad Wanamaker would also be on the move in this deal.

Let’s take a look and see how this NBA trade deadline scenario centered around DeMar DeRozan would help both sides right away this season.
