Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have built one of the best teams in the league. James is playing as good of ball as he ever has throughout his career. The addition of Schroder, and Montrezl Harrell, have paid off immediately. At the deadline, the Lakers have been linked to some big names but could choose to go for depth instead.
This is where George Hill would come in to play. He has experience on teams that have contended in the past. If there was an area that the Lakers were less than perfect, it was out on the perimeter at the point guard position. A move of this kind would continue to take pressure off LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Dennis Schroder took care of that immediately and the team could continue to build the depth with a player like George Hill. This all comes down to what the front office believes is best. They could look to add another star or continue to build depth in hopes of winning another championship.
Ultimately, the Lakers do not need to make any more moves but if one is there, it won’t hurt. It will be interesting to see what the front office decides to do moving forward.
