NBA executive expects Bradley Beal to ask Wizards to trade him

The Washington Wizards have struggled to win game despite trading away John Wall to the Houston Rockets for Russell Westbrook. It seems as though they just can’t manage to turn things around with Bradley Beal, who has become a fixture in NBA trade rumors.

It seems highly unlikely for the Wizards to decide to trade Bradley Beal without being prompted to do so. An NBA executive expressed how he expects Beal will get frustrated enough to pursue being traded.

“Eventually I think the Wizards will [trade him],” one NBA executive said, via New York Post’s Marc Berman. “They want to treat Beal right. I think Beal will get frustrated enough to ask for a trade and they will accommodate him.”

The only team in the Eastern Conference with fewer wins than the Wizards currently is the Detroit Pistons. The hole is becoming deep for Washington and the top eight spots in the playoff picture seem to already be settling with potential occupants — leaving the Wizards on the outside.

Russell Westbrook has recently improved his performance after his leg injury has healed. Regardless, the Wizards’ main issue has been their terrible defense and without ‘3-and-D’ wings or a dynamic rim protector, there appears to be a need for major personnel change. Until then, Washington will continue to struggle.

In the event that Bradley Beal were to approach the Wizards about wanting to be traded, there would be no shortage of potential suitors. Zach LaVine no longer appears on course to be featured in NBA trade rumors after taking the next step and James Harden is long off the market.

Bradley Beal has appeared in 21 games for the Wizards this season and has averaged 32.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. He’s currently leading the NBA in scoring average and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
