Why This Trade Would Benefit The Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards already made a big move in the offseason when John Wall was sent away. Now, they could look to do the same with Bradley Beal and completely start from scratch.

The duo of Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook has not worked just yet and it is not looking like it will be. While Beal has expressed how he isn’t looking to be traded yet, it could be in the Wizards’ best interest to get ahead of a situation that has become so polarized.

The return here would be large. Darius Garland would be the new backcourt mate for Westbrook in D.C. This would give the team a core to build around. They would also build the frontcourt with Kevin Love and Jarrett Allen, along with Davis Bertans who signed a contract in the offseason.

The Wizards are many years away from competing and this is why a blockbuster deal would benefit them greatly. Bradley Beal has played out his time for the Wizards. Westbrook would be the new leader in Washington and this trade would land them some big assets for the future.

Bradley Beal remained in place while his longtime backcourt partner, Johh Wall, was sent to the Houston Rockets. They could complete the reshape of the roster by looking for a trade partner for Beal. May teams will be involved so it will be interesting to see where he lands.
