Jimmy Butler has missed a few games this season and it has shown in the lack of success the Miami Heat have achieved. who will step up when needed. Those players have been Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro, along with Kendrick Nunn.
When a team is expected to contend and they get off to a cold start, it could cause some feelings that push for change. Jimmy Butler is the biggest name in Miami and would land the team quite a return for the Heat to build long-term around younger cornerstones.
Miami simply does not appear to have what it takes to truly compete for an NBA championship outside of the bubble. They benefited from scoring hot shooting from Jae Crowder and Goran Dragic with Jimmy Butler providing clutch-time heroics.
Andrew Wiggins is a secondary player and could be a nice complement on the perimeter for the Miami Heat. They would also get Kevon Looney, who has played valuable minutes for the Warriors, along with two picks for the future. Those picks go along way and landing another star down the line.
The Miami Heat have been linked to some big-name players but most of those options are already off the board due to contract extensions. If they want to make a splash right away, this deal would certainly do that at the NBA trade deadline.
