Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics

This is a trade that neither fan base can be upset about. The Boston Celtics are looking to take the next step in the Eastern Conference and get to the championship a year after being eliminated in the Eastern Conference Finals. This is a move that would help them accomplish that goal.

Plain and simple, JJ Redick has been good for a long time. With the current configuration of the roster for the Celtics, he would be a perfect fit. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are having NBA All-Star caliber seasons while Kemba Walker is back healthy at the point guard position.

These are players that thrive on getting in the lane into the rim and it would benefit them greatly to have a threat like ready to kick the ball out too. It will be crucial to have as much shooting as possible in the Eastern Conference playoffs and there’s none better available than Redick.

The Celtics have been linked to JJ Redick and seems like one of the best fits. There are other teams that will be fighting so they will have to come with their best offer and soon before the Pelicans except something else.

Since Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been drafted by the Celtics, they have come close numerous times to breaking through to the NBA Finals. At some point, Boston needs to get more aggressive to finally get over the hump and adding JJ Redick would help.
