Continue Looking To Add Playmakers In The Second Unit

As mentioned before, the Bucks bench currently ranks 15th in bench scoring this season, which is not terrible, but it is not championship caliber. The only player coming off-the-bench and averaging in double-figures is Bobby Portis, who is a stretch big man.

Not just the Bucks, but every team around the league is always looking to add playmakers to their lineup, but for the Bucks, they really need to look for another playmaker on the wing. When Khris Middleton is out of the game, this team really struggles to score on the wing and they virtually have no depth behind Middleton.

Players like Miles Bridges, Norman Powell, Ben McLemore or Alec Burks could not only bolster Milwaukee’s bench, but give the Bucks that secondary playmaker off-the-bench they are looking for. Bobby Portis is a solid bench player for the Bucks, but he is not a guy who is going to come off-the-bench and score in bunches.

Any of these four players named above though could score in volume and immediately become the Bucks fourth best scoring option. Given that they do not have much draft capital or cap space, it will be hard for the Bucks to add more talent before the NBA trade deadline, but if they want to be a true title contender, then they need to be willing to pay some taxes since Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday account for so much cap spending.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks have a legit chance to win a title each and every season, but they need to find the right complementary player to surround him with. Finding another playmaker on the wing is exactly what the Bucks need and it is exactly what Giannis needs as well to make the NBA Finals.
