3 dark-horse trade destinations for Wizards star Bradley Beal

Dallas Mavericks

With Kristaps Porzingis back in the lineup and Luka Doncic looking like one of the frontrunners for the NBA MVP award this season, the Dallas Mavericks are definitely a team to look out for in the Western Conference, but they still need that third scoring talent on their roster. Adding Bradley Beal to this Mavericks team would definitely cause them to change their approach on the offensive-end of things, but it could make them one of the better offensive teams in the league.

So far this season, the Mavericks have not been the same team they were a year ago and have struggled shooting the ball. They currently rank dead-last in three-point shooting and rank 21st in scoring. Adding Bradley Beal to this team not only would make them a Top-10 scoring team in the league, but they would have three All-Star caliber scorers who could each go for 20+ points every single night.

Trading away draft picks to acquire a player of Beal’s caliber would not be a problem for the Mavericks, but the big question is if the Wizards want any of the players the Mavericks could offer up. Dwight Powell, Jalen Brunson, Dorian Finney-Smith and Tim Hardaway Jr. would all be guys who could be involved in a trade for Bradley Beal, but are not really intriguing names.

This is the only reason why the Mavericks could end up falling out of the Beal sweepstakes, but nonetheless, Dallas should try to do everything they can to land the 2x All-Star. He is leading the league in scoring this year, averaging nearly 35.4 points per game, and is the superstar scorer they need to put next to Doncic and Porzingis on the court.

If the Mavericks somehow pull off a trade for Bradley Beal, they would not only be one of the better teams in the entire Western Conference, but a team to watch for years to come as Luka, Porzingis and Beal are all under contract for at least three more seasons and are all in their 20’s.
