Why This Trade Would Benefit The Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have been a playoff team in the Eastern Conference over the years but they have not been taken seriously as championship contenders. That has changed here in 2021. The 76ers are looking like the real deal and have a chance to come out of the Eastern Conference this season.

The new-look front office of the 76ers added Seth Curry and Danny Green in the offseason. They finally realize that putting shooters around Joel Embiid would benefit the team in many ways. This is especially true for Ben Simmons, who is inept from three-point range.

The emergence of Tobias Harris this season could help ease the 76ers when it comes to the idea of executing a trade involving Simmons — something that they did not want to do early on. If Bradley Beal is the return, it would be hard to say no.

Bradley Beal is simply one of the top scorers in the NBA over the last few years. He is playing the game at extremely high level and that will continue wherever he goes. If Beal truly wants out of Washington, the 76ers would be the perfect landing spot for him.
