1 ideal trade target for Lakers to complement LeBron James, Anthony Davis

After changing up their roster in the offseason and getting even better in terms of total team production and firepower, the Los Angeles Lakers are the clear favorites to repeat as NBA champions. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are still the focal points of the team, but with complementary guys like Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell, this team has everything it needs to once again make a deep run in the playoffs.

This does not mean that this team cannot improve. So far this season, the Lakers are one of the top-scoring and offensive teams in the entire NBA, as they have 6 players averaging double-digit scoring numbers per game and they are also one of the top defensive teams in the NBA as well.

No matter the position, GM Rob Pelinka is always looking for moves to better his team and as a result, the Lakers could potentially look to add another superstar player to pair with Anthony Davis and LeBron James moving forward. There were talks of potentially adding a third All-Star to this team before adding Schroder and Harrell in the offseason, but nothing ever really surfaced.

While they did just give him a contract extension in the offseason, young forward Kyle Kuzma and veteran guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are two guys who can be replaced on this roster by a superstar talent, especially since these guys are going to be eating up a lot of salary space over the next few seasons.

The Lakers have a championship roster as it is and will likely hold off on making any significant moves near the NBA trade deadline, but if the opportunity came, could the Lakers possibly add another superstar player to their roster?

Let’s take a look at the one perfect trade target for the Lakers to complement LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
