It has been a strong start to the season for the Philadelphia 76ers but a slow one for one of their star players. If Philadelphia is interested in parting ways with Ben Simmons, the Indiana Pacers could be a potential destination.
The 76ers are near the top of the Eastern Conference and feel like they are championship contenders this season. Joel Embiid is playing as well as he has throughout his career and is an early-season MVP candidate.
Embiid is joined by Tobias Harris, who is off to an all-star start. Both Danny Green and Seth Curry have been welcomed additions on the perimeter. Head coach Doc Rivers had this team in order and playing some of their best basketball right now.
Indiana is a middle of the pack team in the Eastern Conference. They recently traded Victor Oladipo to the Houston Rockets. It ended the drama surrounding their all-star guard. The Pacers have some players to feel good about moving forward such as Domantas Sabonis and TJ Warren. Malcolm Brogdon is another big name but would have to be part of the deal if Ben Simmons comes to town.
It would be interesting to see the front office of the Sixers decide to trade Simmons at this point. Let’s take a look at what it might take the land him in Indiana.
