Why This Trade Would Benefit The Detroit Pistons

During Blake Griffin’s time in Detroit, the team never was able to take the next step. They are officially heading in a new direction and they showed that during the NBA Draft in free agency. Dwane Casey is a head coach who knows a thing or two about the leading a good team.

In this particular deal, Horford would add even more depth to the frontcourt. He is a true center that would pair well with Grant in the lineup. Hill is another player to add depth but at the point guard position.

Hill would be able to back up Derrick Rose while their rookie sensation is on the injured list. The Pistons are not a win-now team but could still look to improve their roster in hopes that contending in a top-heavy Eastern Conference.

The Pistons could choose to load up on draft capital in certain deals. In this one, they would get more help on the floor in places that are needed.
