Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets
It is clear the Houston Rockets are rebuilding their roster. That was obvious when they sent Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards and most recently James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets. Now, this new-look front office has to decide how deep they want to go.
Like for the Golden State Warriors, Victor Oladipo is a low-risk move for Houston. They could use his services for one year and let him walk if they decide. If this is the case, they should try and find a trade partner.
That is where Golden State comes into play. The Rockets would be able to land a player for the future in Andrew Wiggins and a first-round draft pick. This is more beneficial during a rebuilding process than Oladipo.
It is uncertain what the plan is for Oladipo in Houston. They moved quickly to go get him after trading hard into Brooklyn. It will be interesting to see what happens with these two NBA teams moving forward.
