This Blazers-Sixers trade forms a Damian Lillard, Joel Embiid duo

Both the Philadelphia 76ers and Portland Trail Blazers are off to good starts this season. Philadelphia is 9-5 while Portland is 8-6. Both are led by their star players early on. The two sides could get together to pull off a trade that would shake things up in both conferences.

For the 76ers, it has been Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris leading the way. Embiid is looking like an early-season MVP candidate averaging 25 points and 11.5 rebounds per contest. Harris seems to be earning his contract finally with 19.1 points and 7.1 rebounds per game.

Both Seth Curry and Danny Green have been productive signings getting it done from three-point range. Ben Simmons is putting up decent numbers but has had difficulty scoring the ball. He leads the team with eight assists per game and is second with 9.3 rebounds but is scoring just 12.3 points per contest.

For the Blazers, it is once again Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. Lillard leads the way with 28.1 points per game and it getting it done at all three levels. McCollum is second on the team with 26.7 points a night. This duo has been getting it done for many years now but has not been able to win in the Western Conference.

They have both been thrown in NBA trade rumors over the past few years. Lillard has been thrown into some for entertainment purposes and this is another instance where he is involved in a blockbuster.

If Damian Lillard were to go to Philadelphia, this would create a duo with Joel Embiid that would be fun to watch. Let’s take a look at a deal that might land the point guard with the Sixers.
